Jakob Herrmann

In November 2013 Jakob joined the SoCal Ultra Series team as a webmaster. In 2024, Yen passed the torch as a director to him and he has some big shoes to fill. He is very excited about it.
Jakob is also an avid runner who started running in 2005. Since then he completed over 100 ultra marathons. He is also a RD of the Swiss Alps 100 in Switzerland.

Gary started running Ultras in 1986. His wife, Pam, has been his Ultra crew since the 1988 Lake Tahoe 72-mile. He has completed over 100 marathons and 100 Ultra marathons.
Gary, a Civil Engineer (retired) lives in Wrightwood, California, with his wife Pam where they enjoy mountain life, hiking, and running.
He is the Race Director of the Angeles National Forest Trail Races and Co-Race Director of Angeles Crest 100-Mile Race, U.S. Forest Service Trail Boss, a former Director of the SoCal Ultra Grand Prix Series, and former USATF Mountain Ultra Trail (Masters) Committee Chair.
